			<title>Work Smarter...and Harder!</title>
			<link>http://www.knowthemusicbiz.com/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=202&amp;Itemid=1#pc_17</link>
<description>The old cliche work smarter not harder does not apply in the modern music biz. You must do both.

JDs advice is great advice. But before you rush out and begin making random attempts - do a little research - and educate yourself about effective techniques recommended by successful bands and leading new music strategists. This blog is a great start - absorb the information here - then follow some (or better all) of the links to other websites and blogs. Write down the ideas that really stand out for you (and the ones that don't as well) - then formulate a plan to put them in action.

Do all things - at all times - in the smartest way possible! No one said it would be easy. Repeat this mantra - don't stress about it - be light and have fun with it. Its a challenge - its attainable - all the info you need is a click a way - so get to it!

<title>Knock on many doors and one will eventually open...</title>

<description>I agree with you completely. For the past several years, as I've not achieved my goals with the immediacy I'd hoped for, I've realized that that's part of the process. Whether you're looking to promote your music, applying for jobs, or looking for a great girlfriend, the trick is to do as much as you can towards that goal, and have faith that one of your methods will work. It's taken some time to accept that I have little to no control over the outcomes, only my actions themselves... - Brian</description>
