Hi David.
My name is Robin, and I am VP-Marketing for a startup called Gigdoggy.
I host the company blog (
www.gigbloggy.com) and have written about the Indie Artist X project on three occasions. It is a wonderful initiative for all artists and I plan on keeping my readers up to date whenever you publish some progress. Keep up the good work!
Since you are in charge of X's website online presence and branding, I thought I would let you know of a service we launched in May called Fanteraction™: it's a mobile direct-to-fan platform for musicians that allows them to easily create mobile websites for their gigs.
These websites are meant to enhance the overall gig experience by allowing fans to know which band (and what song) is playing in real-time, view band bios and song lyrics, download tracks (free or through itunes) , send messages (with twitter-integration) etc..
We believe Artist X could benefit from having a mobile profile set up for his/her activities, and it would be a good complement to the already existing web presence you have set up for X.
Gigdoggy's Fanteraction website:
http://gigdoggy.comIf you wish, I can send you a one sheet explanation and pitch of the Fanteraction service, describing its main features, and our thoughts on how it could help Artist X connect with fans, as well as consolidate his/her brand.
Please let me know what you think.
Take care,
Robin Charmant
